CU Denver’s College of Architecture and Planning has the privilege of offering Colorado’s only accredited graduate degree in urban planning—the Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) degree. Our department and alumni association recently established the Gil McNeish MURP Scholarship Fund to honor Gil for his 50 years of teaching Planning Law & Institutions—a required course taken by every MURP student from the first year of the program through 2022. Gil is an esteemed land use and environmental planning lawyer who took time from his practice each fall to teach two sections of this essential course. His expertise and commitment to the program have directly impacted the planning profession, contributing essential technical and legal knowledge to MURP graduates who now help guide communities throughout the state, nation, and world. This scholarship will be designated for continuing students to help ensure their successful completion of the MURP program.
