Dawn Savage, Advisor and Academic Services Manager, will retire in January 2026 after more than 30 years of dedicated service at CU Denver, most of them right here at the School of Public Affairs.
As Dawn retires after nearly three decades of service, she shares a heartfelt request:
“As a first-generation student, scholarships made it possible for me to stay in school and earn my degree. They changed the trajectory of my life. For that reason, I’ve tried to give back by donating monthly to SPA scholarships.
As I retire, I would be honored if faculty, staff, and alumni chose to support SPA scholarships in place of a traditional retirement gift. Helping future students would mean more to me than anything else. Thank you for the privilege of sharing these past thirty years with you.”
Dawn has been a cornerstone of our student advising team, guiding countless students through their academic journeys with expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment.
