Andi’s Art Closet

On the 8th floor of the CU Building, a student supply closet is stocked with the tools Visual Arts students need to create—from paints, brushes, and drawing supplies to photography materials, portfolios, and more. Andi’s Art Closet helps students complete assignments, experiment with new materials, and continue making progress toward their degrees and careers in art and design.

Andrea Howell, a special Friend of the College of Arts & Media, is raising funds for the newly named Andi’s Art Closet because she believes art has the power to connect us across different experiences and give voice to our shared humanity. She wants every student to have access to the materials they need to create, explore, and express themselves.

Many CAM students are first-generation students, working while pursuing their degrees, caring for families, or balancing other responsibilities. The cost of art supplies should not stand between them and their education.

A gift of any amount to Andi’s Art Closet puts creative tools directly into students’ hands—and helps them take one step closer to graduation and a future in art and design.

$70 purchases 50 sheets of Canon Photo Pro-Luster photo paper;

$50 purchases a paint set or a set of artist pencils;

$10 purchases one C-Line presentation book;

and every dollar helps a student carry their talents from the classroom into the workplace.
